Grief Support Specialist Taylor Paddock

Taylor Paddock is a Certified Grief Support Specialist through UW-Madison. She is currently working on her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling. She has a Bachelor's in Fine Arts with a minor in Psychology. She believes that people have the ability to grow in the midst of loss, and that awareness of and education on grief and the grieving process is vital to our humanity. Taylor's role within Grieve and Grow is facilitator, educator, listener, guide, and empathic supporter.

SOCIAL SUPPORT IS VITAL TO PHYSICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING IN LATER LIFE.
GROUPS CAN ENHANCE YOUR SENSE OF BELONGING AND AFFILIATION, LEGITIMIZE AND NORMALIZE YOUR EMOTIONS ASSOCIATED WITH GRIEF, OFFER OPPORTUNITIES TO LEARN NEW COPING SKILLS FROM OTHERS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED SIMILAR LOSSES, PROVIDE CHANCES TO EXPRESS AND INTEGRATE YOUR EXPERIENCES, CREATE A FORUM FOR LEARNING AND RECEIVING INFORMATION RELEVANT TO THE LOSS AND TO LIVING BEYOND IT, DEVELOP SOCIAL RELATIONSHIPS AND SUPPORTS, AND ALLOW PEOPLE TO SOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS WITH THE HELP OF OTHERS.

Groups are limited in size, there must be a minimum of 6 group members and a maximum of  10 group members

Covid-19 Related Losses and Grief Support Group

Since Covid-19 hit there have been innumerable losses individually, communally, and globally as a human race. Acknowledging these losses and our natural reaction to them: grief, is essential to begin healing.

Groups include creative expression and reflection activities including art, writing, gardening, music, and sharing with peers
